Dear Comrades,

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Australia (Marxist-Leninist) conveys its warmest solidarity greetings to all comrades on the occasion of the 3rd Congress of the Communist Organization of Greece.

Your Congress is taking place in the midst of a fierce and unrelenting mass struggle against the forces of imperialism, monopoly capital and the local puppet government. It is timely not only for the Greek working class and the masses, but also for the international working class and anti-imperialist movements. We wish the KOE, and all the genuine Greek revolutionary forces, success in advancing the revolutionary struggles of the Greek people against imperialism and monopoly capital. We wish you all the best in taking the Greek people’s mass struggle closer to winning independence from global imperialism.

In Australia, many comrades and friends in the working class and militant progressive movements have been greatly inspired by the courageous mass actions and organisations of the Greek working class in resisting the vicious austerity measures imposed by imperialism and international monopoly capitalism on the working people.

We salute the determined Greek masses who refuse to surrender to imperialist demands of carrying the heavy costs of the deep economic crisis of monopoly capital and imperialism. The great organisation and mobilizations of workers and broad sections of the Greek working people inspire the world, and reflect the arduous work of genuine revolutionary forces in the people’s militant movements. We know the revolutionary road is not easy and requires deep integration in the struggles of the people.

In the course of sharp and decisive class struggle the ideological, political and organisational work of the Communists is fully tested in practice. We are certain that the comrades of the Communist Organization of Greece will meet the present challenges with revolutionary vigour and confidence in the power of the people. We are confident that you will achieve new victories in the days ahead. We march beside you.
